Supply Lists

Welcome parents and families! We’re excited to kick off a new school year with your child. To help them start the year off strong, please make sure they have the supplies they will need.

Below are the supply lists for the 2026-2027 school year for kindergarten through 5th grade. Please note that specific supplies may vary by grade. Your child's classroom teacher will be in touch near the start of the school year with any other supplies that are specific to their class.

    Kindergarten Supply List (2026–2027)

    Welcome to Kindergarten!
    Every Kindergartener will need the following items. Please leave the items unlabeled (except where noted), as we pool all of our supplies. Please bring the supplies to our Meet the Teacher event prior to school starting.

    Note:
    Each child will need a backpack large enough to hold a folder and other items (no wheels). Your child will use this the first day of school. Children will also need a reusable water bottle for daily use.

    General Supply List

    • 1 corded headphone with a USB-C connection. Over-ear headphones only please, no in-ear headphones. Please write your child’s name on the headphones.
    • 1 two-pocket folder of your choice. Plastic folders are the most durable. Please write your child’s name on the folder.
    • 2 reams of white copy paper
    • 2 packages of baby wipes (not Wet Naps)
    • 1 package of disinfectant wipes
    • Hand sanitizer
    • Liquid hand soap
    • 1 box of tissues
    • 12 glue sticks (not scented)
    • 2 bottles of liquid white glue (no color glue)
    • 1 spiral notebook (wide ruled, 1 subject)
    • Activity fee of $40 – includes yoga, in-school field trips, and playground supplies

    Boys Also Contribute

    • 1 package thin markers
    • 1 package crayons (24 count or more)

    Girls Also Contribute

    • 1 package thick Crayola markers
    • 1 package small paper plates

    First Grade Supply List (2026)

    Every Palm Lake first grader is asked to provide these supplies.
    You can bring your supplies to our Meet Your Teacher event or to class during the first week of school.
    Your teacher will provide an extra list of supplies specific to your own class.

    General Supply List

    • $45 Activity Fee – includes Friendship Garden, hatching chickens, and science activities
    • 2 reams of white copy paper
    • 1 PRIMARY composition journal (blank space on top for drawing)
    • 2 boxes of 24 Crayola crayons
    • 1 box of 10 “Classic Colors” broad-tip Crayola markers
    • 2 Crayola 8-color watercolor paint trays
    • 2 packages of Elmer’s LARGE glue sticks
    • 2 boxes of 4 broad-tip black EXPO dry erase markers
    • 1 pair Fiskars child’s scissors
    • 1 (12 oz) push dispenser of hand sanitizer
    • 2 containers of Lysol wipes
    • 1 box of tissues
    • 1 pack pink, rectangular erasers
    • Small personal headphones for an iPad (no wireless headphones or earbuds)

    • 1 plain, white t-shirt (child’s size)

    First Grade Milestones

    • Write first and last name using correct capitalization
    • Count from 1 to 20 or higher
    • Count backwards from 20 to 1
    • Write numbers 0–20
    • Add numbers under 6
    • Subtract from 5

    Second Grade Supply List (2026–2027)

    Welcome to Second Grade!
    Please review both the general list and any teacher-specific items.

    Activity Fee

    • $30 – used for Scholastic magazines, second-grade performance, and class celebrations

    General Supply List

    • 1 pair of headphones with a USB connection (no basic circle jack and not wireless). Please label with your child’s name.
    • 1 backpack without wheels. Please label with your child’s name.
    • 5 plastic pocket folders with prongs (1 yellow, 1 red, 1 green, 1 blue, 1 purple). Do not label.
    • 2 Primary K-2 composition notebooks (full page of primary lines)
    • 2 packages of pencils, sharpened
    • 4 regular-size glue sticks
    • 2 boxes of 24 Crayola crayons
    • 1 box of 12 Crayola colored pencils
    • 1 box of 10 colored washable markers
    • 1 package of thin yellow highlighters
    • 1 package of thin black Expo dry erase markers

    Third Grade Supply List (2026–2027)

    Welcome to Third Grade!
    Please do not label supplies.

    Activity Fee ($25)

    Note:
    Every child needs a backpack (no wheels) and a reusable water bottle.

    • 2–3 dozen #2 pencils, sharpened (no mechanical pencils)

    Activity Fee ($35): Due at Meet the Teacher

    Fifth Grade Supply List (2026–2027)

    Welcome to Fifth Grade!
    Every fifth grader is asked to provide the baseline universal supplies listed below.

    Please Note:
    This is not a complete list. A more detailed teacher-specific list will be provided after class assignments.

    Universal Supply List

    • 1 Palm Lake student planner (provided by the school)
    • 1 dozen pencils (wooden or mechanical)
    • 1 pair of pointed scissors (no safety scissors)
    • 1 pack of colored pencils
    • 2 glue sticks
    • 2 highlighter markers
    • 1 1.5-inch sturdy binder
    • 1 pack of loose leaf paper
    • 2 packs of 8 plastic dividers with pockets (for science)
    • 1 box of Kleenex
    • 1 pair of personal USB headphones
