Let's Read OCPS!

Let’s Read, OCPS!, a district-wide reading challenge, will run from January 26 to April 30, 2026, and aims to encourage students to read for enjoyment and develop a lifelong love of reading by contributing to the district-wide goal of reading 50 million minutes.

Welcome To Palm Lake Elementary School!

Our goal is to provide a quality education through shared responsibility in a safe and supportive environment for all students to meet the challenges of a global society.  At Palm Lake you will find a faculty and staff committed to teaching and enriching the whole child through experiential learning, the arts, and community building. 

Our dedicated teachers and staff work hand in hand with our wonderful parents, PTA, and the Palm Lake community to provide the educational experience each child so richly deserves.  Through the tenets of our Bobcat PRIDE Pledge we help our students learn and live with Purpose, Respect, Integrity, Determination and Excellence in all that they do each and every day.

Arrival: Car Riders and Walkers
Students may enter between 8:15 - 8:40 am. Parents are asked to remain in their vehicles or at the walking gates for safety reasons. Parents will need to sign in through the front office to receive a badge before entering the school. 

Note: 
Grades 1,2,3 will be dropped off at the car loop outside building 5.
Grades K,4,5 will be dropped off at the car loop outside building 6

Tardies:
It is very important to be on time each day. If your child arrives to school after 8:45 am, they are considered tardy. Please escort students to the front office after gates are closed 8:40 am. Anyone entering after 8:45am must be signed in by an adult to receive a tardy slip.(Late buses do not count as a tardy)

Dismissal:
3:00pm (2:00pm Wed) 

Note: 
Grades 1,2,3 will be picked up at car loop outside building 5.
Grades K,4,5 will be picked up at car loop outside building 6.

For the safety of students and staff, please wait inside your vehicle and pull up when instructed.

Bus students will be called as their buses arrive in the bus loop.
