We are finally starting to feel that crisp, cooler autumn breeze sweep across our campus, and the Bobcats are loving the outdoor recess weather!  Okay, so it was a couple of degrees for a few days, but a fella can dream, can’t he? 😊

This week is shaping up to be a quiet and focused week of deep learning across all grade levels. In particular, our 5th graders are diving into a brand-new, creative poetry unit starting Monday. We can’t wait to see and hear what our students produce!

A massive THANK YOU to our incredible community! We are thrilled to announce that we have officially reached and surpassed 25% of our fundraising goal. Let’s keep the momentum going: While we are celebrating this milestone, we still have work to do to reach our final target. Remember: Every dollar raised directly supports our students, classrooms, and school programs.

It seems that we only do Curriculum nights if is going to rain.  As it was for out fifth grade, so it was for our Kindergarten curriculum night.  Thank you to all of the brave souls who made it out to hear our fantastic Kindergarten teachers share a bit about their classes, what the kids are learning, and some tips and tricks that can be done at home to help our little ones throughout the year.

Friday, we wrapped up Start with Hello/Resiliency week with a Don't be Tardy to the Party celebration, including streamers, music, pom-poms and more.  Our students who were in their classrooms and seated on time all received a gift card to Pirates Cove!  Throughout the year, we will have surprise events to reward being here and being on time, promoting our attendance policy.  Don't be late!

We were honored to welcome School Board Member Anne Douglas to Palm Lake Elementary this past Thursday. She toured our campus and shared how impressed she was by the incredible hard work and dedication of our students and teachers. And the warm, inclusive, and welcoming environment that makes our school so special.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who continues to support our PTA and its endeavors. Because of your time, donations, and unwavering enthusiasm, Palm Lake remains a wonderful place to learn, grow, and thrive.

We have now met 40% of our goal, and we are moving on up!  We appreciate all of your help as we work to support our students and teachers.  Don't forget, every Friday we have Icey Pops for sale for $1.00, and all proceeds go to our school.  Also coming up is a workday for our Nature Trail.  We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to let our kids enjoy the fresh air and the sunshine in our outdoor classroom or along our Nature Trail.  This workday will help us spruce things up and build benches and tables for our students to use outdoors.
