Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

Bus and Day-Care Vehicle Riders

Students riding buses or day-care vehicles will be dismissed each day at 2:55p.m. except on Wednesday when dismissal will be at 1:55p.m. These students will load in the bus loop at the Dr. Phillips Blvd. end of the school.

Car Riders

Students will be dismissed at 3:00p.m. each day, 2:00p.m. on Wednesdays. The Arrival and Dismissal Map indicates the two drop off and pick up locations for specific grades. Please note that K, 4th and 5th grade students are to be dropped off and picked up at the east side of the school; 1st , 2nd and 3rd grade students are to be dropped off and picked up at one location. Cars must continue to circle the car loop until their student is present underl the awning rather than holding up the line waiting for their student to appear. The flag pole area is not for student drop off or pick up. For the safety of the children, please do not let them cross any of the parking lots or drives alone.

Walkers and Bike Riders

These students will be dismissed at 2:55p.m. each day, 1:55p.m. on Wednesdays. Walkers and bike riders are to cross Dr. Phillips Blvd. only at the Pin Oak Drive intersection which has a Crossing Guard and traffic signal. Two areas are provided for bicycles. Bikes should be locked during school hours and should not be ridden on school grounds. Helmets must be worn for safety. Students living in Torey Pines, Kensington Park, and Turnburry will park their bikes on the west side of campus. Students arriving from Dr. Phillips Blvd. will park in the east side enclosure.

Parking

Please park only in the designated parking areas. There will be no parent parking allowed in the bus loop or along Pin Oak Drive. Please cross driveways only at crosswalks. Children must be accompanied by an adult when crossing the parking lot. In order to keep traffic moving, parents who need an informal teacher conference at pick-up must park their cars.

Rainy Day Dismissal

In case of severe weather, dismissal will be delayed until safe conditions return. Please discuss rainy day dismissal plans with your children.

Late Car Pick-ups

Children who are not picked up within 15 minutes of dismissal will be brought to the school office to call for a ride home. Please inform the front office of any phone number updates.
