Accountability Title
The Accountability department fosters continuous improvement by providing guidance to school and district leaders through accountability, accreditation, and school improvement processes.

Accountability

Accountability centers around the Florida school grading model. Student achievement and learning gains on statewide tests, acceleration success and graduation rates are all components of this calculation.

Accreditation

The Accountability department facilitates a comprehensive accreditation framework that aligns with district continuous improvement processes.

School Advisory Council (SAC)

The department provides guidance to School Advisory Councils (SAC) by conveying state and district expectations, providing resources and supporting the continuous improvement efforts of the school. According to section 1001.452 of the Florida Statutes (2016), each school must establish an advisory council to assist in the preparation and evaluation of the school improvement plan, as well as with the preparation of the school’s annual budget and plan.

School Improvement

The Accountability department develops systems for supporting continuous improvement processes [i.e., School Improvement Plan (SIP), District Improvement and Assistance Plan (DIAP), School Advisory Council (SAC)].
